Playing with Ink

After playing with coating dried plants in white emulsion, (which you can find out about here) I decided it would be interesting to try the same but with black ink. However this exploring went down a bit of a different root with ink being so much thinner.

I really enjoyed the act of playing with natural forms to make marks and imprints. There were some interesting shapes but I found the lack of control fun in process but a little unsatisfying in outcome. The fragility and detail often too lost. So as to achieve more detail and less abstraction I added pen drawing to some of the inky lines.

It would be great to master using natural forms as drawing tools.
